    at super Poincare Lie algebra, everytime when I try to add the author names

     C. Chryssomalakos, J. A. de Azc&aaacute;rraga1, J. M. Izquierdo and J. C. Pérez Bueno

    after hitting “submit”, I get the error message

    The problem is “soma”. I’ve hidden this with an SGML hack; cut and paste as needed. (Also check for typos in the next name.)

    Thanks, Toby.

    What’s the trick here, how does this “SGML hack” work? Is that command

    & .... ;

    which you inserted specifically designed to deal with the “soma” problem?

    (And, rethorically, I am wondering: are we sure that having to go through this procedure is less work than removing a soma-spam from time to time?)

    That “command” (actually a character, not a command) is a nonprinting letterlike symbol (with uses in scripts like Arabic and Devanagari, where a letter’s shape may be affected by its neighbours); “zwnj” stands for “zero-width non-joiner” (there’s also zwj). It changes the word without breaking it up or having any visible effect (in Latin script).

    You might write Jacques and ask him to edit the spam list so that “soma” is banned only as an entire word. (He did this in the early days for “cialis” when I couldn’t write “specialise”.)
